You will also notice we have a special guest here tonight! (Hi, Franklyn!) Franklyn lives in Orlando, Florida. and is a road warrior with 1.1 million “butt-in-seat” lifetime airline miles thanks to both his business travel and his leisure travel. We invited Franklyn here tonight because he is a truly wonderful client and he is especially knowledgeable in LGBT -friendly and -welcoming travel and also in solo travel. He recently sailed on a Vacaya charter to the Caribbean and we wanted to get his perspective on what it is like to cruise this way, as compared to his other cruise vacations on standard itineraries.
To give a bit more background on this topic, Vacaya is a company that charters ships and resorts for adult LGBTGIA+ guests. They are not the only company that does this and we’ll explore some of the differences from the traveler perspective.

Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the world- tempting visitors with stunning landscapes, well preserved architecture, rich history, unique museums, delicious food and some of the best beer on earth. Lindsay recently gave into Prague’s siren song and visited this one-of-a-kind city on a taste testing er… mean research trip.

Elizabeth also brought along most of her family tonight as they just experienced tonight’s topic together: Disney’s Galactic Starcruiser! So welcome to Chris and Marcus as well!
On March 1, the much-anticipated Galactic Starcruiser experience finally opened at Walt Disney World Resort. This two-night, immersive game/hotel/theme park experience/foodie event (that’s a lot of slashes!) has been hyped up and the price tag reflects the hype. Billed as a space cruise, this truly is a unique blend of gaming and the Star Wars Universe. The Carans, like many fans, have been waiting for this ever since it was announced at D23 with open minds and open wallets. They have just returned from their voyage and tonight, we ask for all the details but none of the spoilers!

On our podcast, we love to travel all over the world together virtually by talking about some of our favorite places. Tonight we are going to stay in the US and talk about the 3rd largest city in the US, and arguably one of the most beloved -known as The Windy City, The Second City, The White City, The City that Works. Chicago-
The name Chicago was first recorded in 1688, where it appears as Chigagou, an Algonquian word meaning “onion field.”
When we decided this would be our topic, we immediately thought of the perfect guest. Tonight we are joined by a very special guest and dear friend
Robbi Jumaa Hamida,
Robbi is the Senior Vice President, Agency Operations of Nexion® Travel Group
Born and raised in Chicago, and although he moved away in 2000 he still considers it home. Visiting between 2-10 times a year. Each time he flown into Chicago, 4 minutes before landing, he plays the song Lake Shore Drive by Aliotta, Haynes and Jeremiah, as most flights landing at O’Hare make a turn over Lake Michigan flying over Lake Shore Drive before landing

We usually don’t wait a couple of years to check out a new resort at Walt Disney World, but Covid admittedly threw us a little off our game. Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs resort opened in 2019, and Sandy and her husband were finally able to check it out in January, and Lindsay met them for dinner and drinks. We want to dive right in and hear about it.

You may not have heard of Celebrity Cruises, unless you are a regular cruiser or listen to this podcast. They are part of the Royal Caribbean International family and a step up from the Royal Caribbean brand. Donna was fortunate to be invited to a Seminar at Sea with CLIA and Celebrity Cruises. She is here tonight to tell us about her experience.
