Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao make up the famous A B C islands. And of those, Aruba is probably the most well-known and popular. Located in the Southern Caribbean within sight of Venezuela on a clear day, this small island of only 19 miles length is the home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including Eagle Beach, currently ranked third behind beaches in Turks and Caicos and Cuba. Recently, Elizabeth was invited to visit Aruba as a guest of the Aruba Tourism Authority where she toured 15 properties and ate tons of food… all in the name of research! This week, we are excited to hear all about what she learned.

Ein, Zwei, Drei! As most of you know, we love good beer here at Outlander Travel. We are especially fond of German beers and there is no better place to get great German beer than at Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany. It is the largest annual beer festival in the world that attracts visitors worldwide. The 16 day festival starts in September and ends the 1st Sunday in October. It all started in 1810 as a wedding celebration for King Ludwig I with parades, horse races and plenty of food & drink and continues to this day. We invited our special guest, Carolin Belcher from the German tourist board, to speak with us about Munich’s Oktoberfest and other Oktoberfest travel ideas all around Germany. Welcome!!
