The Rhine River has been a major thoroughfare for the shipping of goods and people since Roman times. Even today, it still serves as a major European river for transport. Donna recently was able to travel the Rhine for her anniversary with her husband aboard the Ama Serena on the Rhine Castles and Swiss Alps cruise.
