Things don’t always go as planned in travel, and in many ways, that can lead to fun and interesting things! Two years ago, Elizabeth booked a river cruise for her family and friends on the Moselle and Rhine rivers. She had heard about the beauty of the Moselle and also wanted to share the Rhine and Switzerland with her family. This year, as they all met up to embark on their cruise, they learned that the record high temperatures in Europe have led to very low water levels on the Rhine and the Danube. So what happens when the river is too low to traverse? We’ve asked Elizabeth to share her experience, from the good to the bad and of course, the beautiful!
