When you enjoy and spend just about as much time planning your trips as you do on the actual trip and your background is in teaching and customer service, you might just have to consider getting into the travel business!  That’s exactly what Stacey did a few years ago after careers in teaching and public libraries when she joined Elizabeth, the owner of Outlander Travel, as an administrative assistant and has now changed careers and is working for Outlander Travel in an expanded role, helping her manage her clients’ trips as well as the day to day operations of Outlander Travel.

“Growing up, Stacey fondly remembers piling into the family station wagon to visit the Florida beaches, the Grand Canyon, Disneyland in California, and numerous camping trips”

Growing up, Stacey fondly remembers piling into the family station wagon to visit the Florida beaches, the Grand Canyon, Disneyland in California, and numerous camping trips, but had never been in an airplane until she was in high school and was lucky enough to get to go to San Francisco on a school trip.  After that, she dreamed of traveling both near and far, but it would be a few more years before she would get to make that dream a reality. After graduating with a degree in Elementary Education she and her husband finally had the opportunity to go places. And even when her daughter came along, they didn’t shy away from bringing her with them at an early age.  When her daughter was younger, Walt Disney World in Florida was a trip they made at least once or twice a year but traveled to Europe, as well, visiting England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Germany, France, Spain and Italy and also China. After her first cruise for her 20th wedding anniversary, she and her husband were hooked and have since taken cruises to Alaska, the Mediterranean, and numerous Caribbean cruises.

She truly feels there is no substitute for the experiences and memories you gain from travel… whether you can afford to travel near or far, first-class or economy, just get out there and see the world!
