Episode 427: London Theater Trip

Have you ever found yourself in the midst of one vacation, already mentally planning out exactly what you would next time- do if you only had more time?

London is one of those magical cities that no matter how many times you visit- there is always a new way to experience it! This past spring Lindsay found herself with a little over a week to spare between work trips and took advantage of the opportunity to revisit London on her very first official “ Workcation”.

She impulsively bought tickets to Andrew Lloyd Weber’s Cinderella, booked air & hotel and somehow resisted the deeply ingrained urge to pre plan every single day- she headed to London with no real agenda and is here to share her adventure with us!

Episode 424: A Long Layover in Iceland

Although it always welcomed tourists, Iceland wasn’t on a lot of bucket lists until two big events in pop culture: The famous Icelandic “Viking Clap” from the UEFA Euro 2016 games and of course, Game of Thrones. Since then, Iceland tourism is booming. And one of the many ways folks are experiencing it is through the multi-day layover option that Iceland Air offers… drawing you in with inexpensive fares non-stop to Reykjavik and then allowing you to connect 1-7 days later to your next European destination at no additional cost.

But is it really worth it to only lay over for a day or two? What can you really do in that time? Is it worth it? Lindsay has done this on one of her many European adventures and Elizabeth also recently spent only a couple of days in Iceland before a cruise. So we thought we would explore how much you could do in just a day or two.

Episode 423: Vancouver

Vancouver, located on the southern Pacific coast of British Columbia, is one of Canada’s most diverse cities. From Granville Island, through the neighborhoods of Yaletown, Gastown, and Chinatown, and on up to Stanley Park, there is truly something for everyone. And because Vancouver is the 4th largest cruise ship terminal in the world, chances are, if you’re going to Alaska, Vancouver will be on your itinerary. We highly recommend taking a few extra days to explore this city, which is exactly what Lindsay and Sandy did last summer.
