Traveling with children carries its own set of challenges. Gone are the days of sitting in the rear facing bench seat of a 9 passenger woody station wagon playing the license plate game. Depending on ages, length of travel and mode of transportation for your vacation, you may need a little help with planning.
To help us answer some of these questions, we have invited Savannah Hill. Savannah owns a travel agency based out of a small suburb of Dallas, Texas. She and her husband decided it was a priority for them as a family to spend their money on experiences over things, even with small children. They have three kids, Holden who is 6, Maxi who is 4 and Hattie who is 3 and have traveled with all three from Disney, Mexico, multiple cruises, Alaska, Europe and much more.

No matter where you live, there is a good chance you’ve been on some sort of lock down since around March. Of course we’re itching to get back out there! But have you noticed that you’re not seeing as many vacation pictures on social media? Or maybe you yourself have posted a picture from vacation, only to have friends question whether you’re being safe. We believe there are ways to travel safely, and this week we want to talk about why you shouldn’t feel guilty about travel. Follow the safety guidelines, be respectful of others, and know the rules for where you’re going. Those golden rules will help you!

J.R.R. Tolkien said, “Short cuts make long delays.” in the Fellowship of the Ring book. Nothing could be more true in travel. You and your travel advisor plan the perfect trip, from the right airline to the best hotel with a once-in-a-lifetime excursion. By taking the time to plan everything with wiggle room, most of the time it turns out exactly the way it should. Then again, it doesn’t always turn out exceptional. By choosing that hotel on your own that was much further out of the city and having to commute in everyday, you miss that long awaited excursion. This is where your friendly neighborhood travel agent can help to alleviate some of those issues and explain the reasoning why you want to choose one thing over another.
It’s no secret that we all love traveling and because we travel extensively, we can share some of our life lessons that we have learned along the way.

Music inspires us to move. It can lift our spirits when we our down, help us share joy, foster sadness or longing and invoke long forgotten memories.
Most of us have our own “Soundtracks” or playlists for different times or events in our lives and tonight we though it would be fun to blow the dust off of our record collections and share a few of the songs that have inspired us to travel.

It’s not in our nature to stay in one place, so when Universal Resort in Orlando opened back up with new Covid 19 requirements, you know that a couple of Outlander agents were anxious to check it out! Donna and her family visited this summer, and this week we’re excited to welcome back fellow Outlander agent Anna who was there over Labor Day Weekend with her family. They are here to tell us what to expect with the new rules, what it was like, and what they hope sticks around after Covid leaves.

It would be an understatement to say that 2020 has been a year of interesting challenges that no one could have seen coming. No one knows that better than our next guest!
Cris De Souza is a global business strategy leader, certified business and life coach, sustainable adventure travel advocate, and (perhaps most impressive), 3x national barefoot waterski champ. Welcome to the show!
This spring Cris experienced being on top of the world when she successfully summited Mt. Kilimanjaro. When she descended the mountain the world was shutting down from Covid and everything had changed. She has managed to use the power of “mindset” to help her navigate the changed world, and she’s here tonight to tell us about her journey and the lessons she learned.

Although people aren’t quite ready to travel in full force again, they are searching for amazing domestic vacation destinations. And there’s nothing more American than a family dude ranch vacation. Imaging exploring the majestic landscapes on horseback by day, dining under a sky full of stars at a chuck wagon dinner at night, and finishing off the day roasting marshmallows by a bonfire. Tonight we’re going to discuss a dude ranch vacation, and why it should be on every families travel bucket list.

Here we grow again! This week we’re excited to introduce you to the newest Outlander Travel Agent, Nitra Hasty! (yay!) Nitra grew up as an Army brat, so most of her traveling was when the family moved to a new location. She was always excited to explore the new cities that came along with the moves. Her favorite city growing up was Savannah, GA. Savannah always has lots to do and see there. We can’t wait to hear about how she came to join us.
